AJ's opinion on Colorado and Increasing Film Incentives

Just watched the remake of Day of the Dead which was shot a few years ago with Mena Suvari. On cable at the same time was AVP: Requiem and both of them made me a little upset. They were both supposed to take place in small Colorado mountain towns (Leadville in DOD and Gunnison in AVP). I was upset because DOD was shot in Bulgaria and AVP was shot in British Columbia. It is about time that Colorado figure out the incentive game. New Mexico has figured it out. In fact there have been a number of scripts based in Colorado shot in New Mexico in last few years. Tax incentives don't cost the State money if they work it right. Cut the companies tax free services as long as 90 percent or more of their budget is spent in this State. The money will eventually turn into taxes for the state but donesn't turn into anything in Colorado if they spend it in Canada. You wanna tell me it is cheaper to take the whole crew to Bulgaria vs here. It all comes down to the incentives Bulgaria gives. The value of the dollar is worth less and less...

Mr O put into Screenplay competition at Las Vegas Film Festival

After placing in the screenplay competition with Darkness of Day in 2009, Possessed Hand Productions has entered Mr O into the competition. It is a script about a man who can make every woman in the world but one have an orgasm. It is back to the comedic roots that A.J. Ager founded Possessed Hand Productions on. It is gross, disgusting, and offensive and it is about time he went back to writing like this.

POSSESSED HAND CREW PICKS UP AWARD IN LAS VEGAS

The Possessed Hand Crew Picked up the official finalist award at the Las Vegas International Film Festival on April 12, 2009. A.J. Ager and Aaron Springfield accepted the award in front of a big reception. A.J. dedicated the win to so much of his money which would not being making the trip home. The Award was for Darkness of Day which continues its warm reception since Ager wrote it.

HERE COMES DARKNESS OF DAY

Producer A.J. Ager has finished the script and will start shooting the full length feature Darkness of Day. It is the story of Draven Noir, a vampire who walks in the daylight one day a year. To keep this gift he must save a person's life. He must do this year's alittle different since the person he is to save is already dead. The movie will be shot in Colorado Springs and keep tuned for news on casting.
